well we closed off the allotments last friday 3/2/2009. All in all it was a great success we had four out of the five families go on to garden in there own home, with all children now eating vegies hey never have before and enjoying them. One family expressed an interest in continuing so we have built another allotment which they can use and also they wish to mentor the next five families. So we have dug out half the soil topped it up with compost and new soil(which was a major effort, definitely not cheap it took 60 bags compost and 1 cubic meter garden mix, and off we go again.)
