Friday 13th
The second stage of the allotments is underway. Five new families have been chosen by the salvation army and here we are down at the allotments meeting the families they have seventeen children between them and most of them boys. The boys love the hands on side of gardening dont mind the dirt and dont mind the bugs and worms. They have picked what vegetables they want and are planting madly. Just like the first lot of families they want to do it all at once and plant everything. The kids are having a ball and there are iceblocks to keep them happy, its all planted now we are watering and tidying up and we will now sit back and see if the families come in and how often and it they take to gardening like the first lot.
